How it works

Heat from the air, not an expensive element

A heat pump works like a reverse air conditioner: instead of generating heat directly, it moves warmth from the surrounding air into your water tank, using a fraction of the electricity.

A fan draws in outside air and passes it over a refrigerant that captures even low-temperature warmth.

STEP 02

Compresses & heats

A compressor concentrates that heat to a high temperature, using far less power than an electric element.

STEP 03

Heats your water

The heat transfers into the tank, giving you a full supply of hot water stored and ready when you need it.

Solar Victoria Rebate (VIC)

Up to $1,000 rebate

Victorian households replacing an old system with an eligible hot water heat pump may qualify for a Solar Victoria Hot Water Rebate. Typical eligibility:

You own and live in the home, or you're an eligible rental provider
Property is in Victoria and under the program's value cap
Combined household income is under the program threshold
Replacing an existing hot water system (generally 3+ years old)
One hot water rebate per eligible property
Installed by an authorised retailer using an approved product, that's us

VEU & ESS (VIC & NSW)

Discount applied upfront

Under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VIC) and Energy Savings Scheme (NSW), eligible heat pump upgrades earn certificates that reduce your price at the point of sale. Typical eligibility:

Your property is in NSW or VIC
You're replacing an existing electric or gas hot water system
Available to both owner-occupiers and rental properties
We're an accredited provider (ACP), no paperwork for you
Can often be combined with the Solar Victoria rebate in VIC

Am I eligible for a rebate?

Most homeowners in NSW and VIC replacing an existing electric or gas hot water system qualify under the ESS or VEU scheme. The exact amount depends on your location, system and current program rules, enter your postcode above and we'll confirm.

Does a heat pump work in cold weather?

Yes. Modern heat pumps are designed to extract heat from the air even at low temperatures, and quality systems include a boost mode for the coldest days so you never run short of hot water.

How much can I really save?

Because a heat pump moves heat rather than generating it, running costs can drop by around 70% versus an old electric-element system. Your actual saving depends on household size, usage and tariff, we'll estimate it on your quote.

How long does installation take?
